Well it has been a while! We had such a busy summer and now I have finally gotten into the swing of being back at work. Here's what has been going on with us...
Camden: will be 5 in two weeks. She is such a big girl now, talking all the time, and believe me nothing gets by her. She is back at St. Stephens, this year is her last, and goes 4 days a week with two extended classes for cooking and music. She is especially excited about the cooking. She has been known to pull up a chair and "help" in the kitchen quite often. But she is healthy and strong and the light of our lives! Here are a few quips from recent advetures:
1. We took her to see Ice Age 3, and in preparation for that, we recorded the first two. She cried when the baby was reunited with his daddy, and I thought, finally I have someone to cry with me at movies (and commercials, etc!!!)
2. She positions herself on the front of the grocery cart, back to me, arching out, and says she is a mermaid like on the front of pirate ships. LOL
3. She informed me that dandelions are wishberries.
4. She stayed wth Mama Alice one day and Mama Alice asked if she could change the TV to The Price is Right. Camden said no, but then when I got her and we were headed out the door, Camden says "Youcan watch The Price is Right now!
5. She wanted to wear her Ohio State T-shirt that Uncle Coach gave to her because Ohio State was written out in sparkles on it. I asked what her shirt said and she said "Sparkles". The next week when my mom explained that Coach was FROM Ohio, she said "Peach and Ankle (her imaginary friends) are from Ohio State!
6. And my favorite quote,..."thats your problem, you have to see rainbows!"
Brad: Still working hard, headed to CA next week to visit theplant that he serves as a program manager. He is loving football season starting back up. Me, not so much. I like football just fine as long as Carolina is winning. Hopefully he will bring me something cool from LA!!! He does not really want to go but Ithink it will be a cool trip to talk about in once he survives.
Me: I get to still share a room with Julia, thought they moved our room (again)! We are working together for our 3rd year, and are quite the team in my opinion. I am attending a new Bible study that is wonderful - new friends and an improved outlook! What we share and learn is what I need, just when I need it. On a sad note, my little Boston Terrier, Hoover, passed away last night. My heart is sad, but I am so glad that he was home with us, and we did not have to decide to let him go, he just went. Pray for us and Piper, she is a little lost without him.
I always like to end with GOOD NEWS!
According to Camden, this is how it went, "Kevin asked Stephanie to MARRY him...and SHE SAID YES!!!". Brad and I are tickled to welcome our first sister to the Sox clan! And Camden is only worried about what she will wear as a flower girl. Typical. Anyway he asked her on campus after a nice dinner and before meeting up with friends to celebrate. YAY for us. :)
Hope you are all doing well and feeling blessed. Stay tuned, I am trying to do better.
